The Cardiology Service provides consultation for any patient in which the presence of heart disease is suspected and performs a number of diagnostic tests, including:

• echocardiography
• electrocardiography
• holter monitoring
• insertable loop recorder placement for detection of intermittent arrhythmias
• noninvasive blood pressure measurements
• thoracic radiographs
• angiography
• fluoroscopy

We also provide counselling to owners, and treatment options, including medications and other procedures as required (e.g. permanent pacemaker placement).
