The Cardiology Service provides consultation for any patient in which the presence of heart disease is suspected and performs a number of diagnostic tests, including:
- echocardiography
- electrocardiography
- holter monitoring
- insertable loop recorder placement for detection of intermittent arrhythmias
- noninvasive blood pressure measurements
- thoracic radiographs
- angiography
- fluoroscopy
We also provide counselling to owners, and treatment options, including medications and other procedures as required (e.g. permanent pacemaker placement).
